After self-publishing A MOTHER'S PREMONITION, I got two questions exponentially more often than any others:
What was the inspiration for the book?
How the heck did you write a novel as a stay-at-home mom with a toddler?

Sometimes I think I blacked out and it happened, because I'll admit the writing process was a bit of a blur. It was filled with early mornings and late nights, with afternoons jammed in when I could. But before I knew it, 84,000 words that I was immensely proud of were staring back at me!
So, how did I do it? Routine and discipline! Check out the below for a typical schedule for this SAHM writer mom!
4:30am | Wake-up |
5:00am | Exercise Get ready |
6:00am | Breakfast Pack kiddo's lunch & bag Tidy as time allows |
7:15am | Wake up kiddo Get kiddo ready |
8:25am | Leave for school |
9:10am | Return home |
9:15am-12:25pm | Write Chores |
12:25pm | Leave for school pick-up |
1:15pm-2:00pm | Return home- snack & quiet time |
2:00pm-5:30pm | Play/family time |
5:30pm | Dinner |
6:00pm | Bath time |
6:30pm-7:30pm | Play |
7:30pm | Get kiddo ready for bed |
8:00pm | Kiddo bedtime |
8:30pm-10:00pm | Write |
10:00pm | Skincare & bed |
Of course not every day follows a perfect schedule! But I try to block my time so that I'm focused solely on one task and not flipping to the point I don't accomplish anything!
For example, I don't exercise every single day, so those days I can write more words in the morning!
Hopefully this gives you an idea of how you can structure your time to get that novel written!
